Installation
You must have Microsft Access on the machine you will be using for unit tracking. Access is included in Microsoft Office Professional and in Office 365 Business and above.
UnitTracker is provided as an Access .accdb file. You can download it here.
You can place this file anywhere you like on your computer, but we recommend creating a new folder named UnitTracker.
Common choices would be C:\UnitTracker or C:\users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\UnitTracker. These are just suggestions – feel free to install wherever you want, just remember where you put it.
The file you just downloaded is an empty database. You should rename the file to something you will recognize, like organization_name_endowment.accdb, where you replace organization_name with the name of your organization.
If you are managing multiple endowments, just download another copy of the template and rename it for the additional endowment you are tracking. You can store this additional copy in the same directory as before, or create a new directory if you wish.
If you are moving UnitTracker to a new computer you will need to copy the the .accdb file from the old computer to the new. That's it.
